Metals: Zinc Balls
Palm's zinc ball anodes are made of a special high purity grade of zinc metal contaiing a minimum of 99.99% Zn. Melting and casting of the zinc is carefully controlled to prevent iron pickup and the introduction of other impurities. The balls are solid and clean, and do not have any flash or gates which would cause basket hang ups.
Zinc metal is supplied to ISO Standard 752-1981 Special High Grade (SHG) specifications; other applicable standards are ASTM B6, BS 3436 and DIN 1706.
Forms: Solid balls measuring 50.8 mm (2.0 in.) in diameter.
Typical Chemical Analysis (percent) 99.99% by weight zinc:
Aluminum: <0.0001
Cadmium: 0.0006
Copper: 0.0003
Iron: 0.0004
Lead: 0.002
Tin: <0.0001
Zinc: 99.995
Phosphorized anodes also contain a small amount of phosphorus.
Packaging:
250 pound net weight fiber drums, steel banded with 8 drums to a pallet for 2500 pounds net weight per pallet.
